TRIP OVERVIEW:
The Royal Chitwan National Park, situated 165 km overland or 25 minutes by air to the southwest of Katmandu, is one of the richest safari destinations in Asia. Spread over an area of 932 sq. km, it offers a unique ecosystem encompassing hills, ox-bow lakes, flood plains, tall grasslands and thick jungles dominated by Sal trees (Shored Robust). Chitwan is home to more than 40 species of wild animals, many of which are rare and endangered. They include the One-Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharial Crocodile, Wild Elephant, Four-Horned Antelope, Striped Hyena and the Gangetic Dolphin. Over 450 species of birds like the Bengal Florida, Giant Hornbill, Sarus Crane, the Racket-Tailed Drongo and other exotic varieties delight bird watchers. Jungle activities include sightseeing on elephant-back, canoe rides on the rivers, jeep drives, jungle walks and village tours.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: A private car with your own driver will drive you through the five hours of scenic journey to Chitwan. Or if you prefer public bus,at 6:30AM you can report at the tourist bus station and then at 7:00AM drive by tourist bus to CHITWAN (520 Mtr. 165 Km. 5-6 hours driving). Or, if you'd prefer to fly, Nepal one tours will book you a flight to nearest Bharatpur airpot.
Once you reached at the last bus station or one of our lodge representatives will greet you and drop to lodge by a taxi.
After a hearty Lunch, you will be given a details for the jungle activities awaiting you. Relax in the hotel, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and preparing for your next day. In the early evening, you will be given a tharu village ethnic tour and a visit to the national park's visitor's centre from where you can learn the historya and other important facts about chitwan and the park.
Enjoy the sunset view from the Rapti riverbanks.Enjoy tharu cultural programs while you have your dinner. Over night at Lodge.
Day 2: After the bountiful breakfast, a full day jungle actitvities will await you. You will be guided through all this activities with breakfs for lunch and rest. Full day activities includes:canoe ride along the Rapti river- an excellent opportunity to sight the rare Marsh mugger crocodile and the gharial, bird watching- an opportunity to sight some of the largest collection of rare birds, jungle walking, elephant bathing and elephant safari. During your elephant safari you will get a chance to sight the rare one horn rhinoceros, sloth bears, pythons, boars, leopards and if you are lucky, even a royal bengal tiger.
You will enjoy the delicious dinner at the hotel after finishing the busy day and have a fun night with the tharu cultural dance show or slideslow presentations. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3: The hotel will give you a early morning call, if you'd like to enjoy the sunrise view over the rapti river bank. After your breakfast in the morning, you will do a early visit to the government elephant breeding centre. you will see the baby elephants cuddling with their mother and the efforts of the government and local tourism to let them always be this happy and protected. After returning back to hotel, you will departure for your next destiantion ahead with mind, full of beautiful memories and heart, full of warm love.
