The Kathmandu valley is in the bowl-shaped which is the centre of natural beauty in the World and the major tourist hub due to its cultural richness with various, natural scenery, high mountains, historical monuments, shrines and temples, old palaces and palace squares, ageless traditions and legends make it a veritable living museum and this valley is surrounded by four major mountains, namely: Shivapuri, Phulchowki, Nagarjun and Chandragiri. From the point of view of tourism, economy and cultural heritage, the sister cities of Patan (lalitpur), an ancient city of fine arts and crafts, similarly Bhaktapur (city of devotees) are integral to Kathmandu. Kathmandu city’s rich history is nearly 2000 years old, has also been described variously as "Land of Gods" and as "land of the largest congregations of magnificent historical monuments and shrines ever built". Where religious affiliations are dominantly Hindu followed by Buddhism not only that other religious beliefs also live in Kathmandu giving it a cosmopolitan culture. Kathmandu city is the place for relaxation, rest, and easy-day sightseeing of artistic and historic temples and monuments, as well as mountain views. Nepal holds a considerably large number of places recognized by UNESCO as "World Heritage Sites". There are all together ten World Heritage Sites in Nepal, seven of which are in Kathmandu itself and three outside the valley.     DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

    Day 1

    Kathmandu valley sightseeing:  Swayambhunath Temple, Kathmandu durbar square, Ason local market and Beautiful tourist destination Thamel. 

     Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Kathmandu. The sightseeing will take 4-5 hours. Our expert city guide and driver will escort you in the following routes: From Hotel, drive to Swayambhunath temple, 15 to 30 minutes drive depending on your hotel location. Swayambhunath temple is also called Monkey temple. A guide walk of 365 steps to the top of the temple. From the top of the Monkey temple, you have beautiful views of Kathmandu Valley. From Swayambhunath temple, drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, 10min drive. Kathmandu Durbar Square locates famous living goddess Kumari temple, Hanumandhoka Durbar courtyards with amazing wooden architectures, and various Hindu temples. From Kathmandu Durbar Square, a guided walk to Thamel through Ason local markets, 30min walk. Ason and neighborhood area has been the center of local businesses in Kathmandu Valley for at least last 600 years. It will be interesting walk through this colorful local markets and ancient settlements. Finally, we will end the day at Thamel.
